Being a working mommy is no joke. Between shuttling the kids to school, being “room mom” for both of my boys, managing all of our packed schedules (now, who was it that had basketball practice today?), and running my busy PR firm, every day is a constant juggling act. I wanted to give you an inside look at what it’s like around here… The good, the bad & the silly.

As tired as I may be, the minute my boys wake me up (at 5:45 a.m. these days… ugh!), seeing them first thing in the morning feels like a present I get to open each & every day. Their bright-eyed, smiling faces start my day off on the right foot!

Things have certainly changed since we had kids… High heels are a thing of the past. These days, comfort & convenience are key. We sometimes eat breakfast on-the-go, and that’s perfectly ok. With one of my boys now in kindergarten, just getting out the door on-time is a “win.” We do what we can to be as present and connected as possible, and live by the mantra, “Done is better than perfect,” rather than striving for some unattainable vision of what parenthood is supposed to be. (Thanks for nothing, Pinterest!)

I am incredibly lucky to have a career that I love, and to be able to run this business while being mom to my two kids. Each day feel like an all-out sprint, but at the end of the day, my husband & I like to unwind by spending time together, drinking some wine on our deck and discussing the events of the day. He’s an entrepreneur, too, so there’s always lots of excitement to share!
